Well, lately I have been neglecting to fill out my diary entries, so I guess I'll start again now. Today I managed to fix the broken tub faucet in the rear bathroom that had been leaking water like a seive for the past few days, and had been causing problems for a few months. It turned out that the valve seat had a [http://gallery.5045kensington.com/faucet_repair/new_set_broken_seat2.jpg|large chunk] taken out of it. With the correct [http://gallery.5045kensington.com/faucet_repair/old_seat_stem_and_tool.jpg|tool], the replacement proceeded without incident. Now the house is strangely quiet without that anoying noise of running water.
I also am contining to do more and more research into natural language parsing for multiple different projects that I am interested in. Of course, as is usual, it's difficult to get involved in a new field, but I'll figure it out soon.
I was kind of planning on going to release tonight, but I never ended up making it there. Hopefully I'll go to moontribe ttomorrow, but I might end up staying in riverside and doing some more reading.
Another day has come and gone. Wandered on to campus to get some more books on natural langage parsing. Still trying to figure out what I am going to do as far as that is concerned.
Started reading LotR again, just so I can refresh it in my mind. I'll probably end up getting the history of middle earth books relatively soon, assuming my tax bills aren't outrageous.
Anyway, off to sleep. Hopefully I'll pick up some more books and go to free thinking tomorrow.
Hrm. Lets see. The lawn got mowed today... it's absolutely amazing how quickly grass is able to grow. I think I'm going to skip having grass in front of any houses that I design in the future. It doesn't seem to be worth the hassel.
Beyond that, had a fish taco at rubios, and went out to the freethinking two year aniversary (which is kind of odd, because I think I went to one of the first freethinkings.) Collette's set wasn't as good as she was at release. It didn't look like she had gotten in to a stable groove, or was expending too much effort battling the system rather than inducing a flow. Luckily, the night was saved in famous style by an awesome set by Diz, who rarely fails to provide quality music with a flowing story. A couple of tracks were a bid out of touch, and stopped the build throughout the night, but other than that people were dancing and grooving hard.
Talked again with Nick, and met Alecks, who I believe is Zoki's sister, but I'm not sure about that. (I'm totally out of touch with what is going on in that small part of the house scene, since I don't have enough time to go out every week anymore.)
Time read some more LotR, and then sleep.
Ran a PKC assay today, Ed helped to troubleshoot the assay for os, and it looks like it was a pH issue. I'll check the results tomorrow, and we'll see how it went. Hopefully it was something like that that was causing the problem, so we can start making repeatable assays once more.
I also went out to [http://www.deep-la.com/| Deep] which is held at vynyl, in hollywood. (It was the first week back after the [http://www.cnn.com/2002/SHOWBIZ/Music/03/31/wmc/index.html|miami WMC]...) Marques Wyatt played some nice grooves, that pretty much had people moving all night long.
Then the long drive back, and now I'm going to read some more LotR before I go to sleep.
